The Nursery is a conceptual project stemming from our generation’s unprecedented exposure to advertising. The installation is a "store” that includes multiples (limited edition prints) by myself and Earl Barrett Holloway, in the form of coloring books, hand-crafted puzzles, and T-shirts- blurring the line between art, retail, reality, and memory.
The Nursery includes an original educational book titled Hellos of the World. The publication is based on the simple concept that the beginning of any communication begins with the word hello. Individual paintings by Myself and Holloway interpret each culture and origin of "Hello" from a multitude of nations, as can be seen in the two puzzles, 'Hallo' from Germany and 'Konnichiwa' from Japan. The goal of Hellos of the World is to use drawings to create a statement about our global interconnectivity, ultimately linking children, adults, and the world.
